SHORT COURSE IN PERI-OPERATIVE NURSING

Course presentation

The current rhythm of technological changes, coupled with the prevailing scientific revelations, makes it indispensable for nursing professionals to be involved in processes of continuous training and updating of knowledge.

The increasingly important role that nurses have been assuming in the surgical process involves understanding the pre, intra and postoperative care process as a continuum of care rather than a set of isolated practices / interventions .

Goals

The objectives of the course are:
To develop knowledge about Peri-Operative Nursing;
Provide spaces for reflection and simulated practice of procedures in an operating room;
Promote the development of specific skills to support nursing care delivery in a person undergoing surgery.
