SHORT COURSE IN ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY

Course presentation

The Electrocardiogram (ECG), begun by Einthoven in 1902, has been considered as an important marker of heart disease for more than 100 years.
With the advent of computer technology, it has gained more information, more agility in the transmission of tracings and its sensitivity and specificity remains an important and effective tool in clinical and cardiological diagnosis. It allows to evaluate the structure and behavior of the heart and to determine, when there are changes in the heart rhythm, which can be manifested among others in the form of irregular, more or less accelerated beats.
This examination is the first step to define the therapeutic procedures to be performed, which justifies a brief course of electrocardiography … from the basic interpretation of the ECG to defibrillation, since the success of clinical praxis in cardiology is a challenge to the excellence of care.

Goals

The general objective of the course is to develop adequate skills to provide care to the victim of heart disease..
