The prevalence of violence translates into high clinical, social and human costs, transforming this nosological entity into an important public health problem.
The seriousness of this problem implies the adoption of effective strategies and adaptation of existing resources to the real needs of the victim of violence.
The complexity underlying the treatment of victims of violence justifies up-to-date training in planning interventions based on ethically driven scientific evidence, in the search for and consolidation of good practice.
The Brief Course in Forensic Science aims to develop clinical and research skills contributing to health / education gains, promoting the improvement of the quality of life of the individual / family and the training of professionals who promote more inclusive citizenship.
The general objective of the course is to develop scientific, technical, research, relational and ethical skills appropriate to the care of the victim of violence.
